    Confused About Various Tora Forks

So I want to get a Tora fork since I have heard alot of good things about them. But there are 10 deffernet varieties of them. What is the difference? Some are lighter, and some have adjustable travel, but I cannot tell which it which.

Which one is the best bang for the buck? I am doing mostly XC riding. I have V brakes, so I need a fork that has the studs for them.

It is confusing, it's not just you. There are two varieties of Tora: Trail and XC. The high end XC seem to be mostly air sprung and do not have adjustable travel, while the high end Trail tend to be coil sprung with variable travel from 85-130mm, called U-Turn. The lower end forks from both tend to be coil sprung with very simple rebound and preload adjustment.

I would get one air sprung, without U-turn which adds weight and functionality you probably don't need for XC. I would recommend the RS Tora 318 Solo Air for $249 from Pricepoint. It's light, has the Motion Control rebound and damping system, and has V or disc brake mounts. It's very good value.

Did just hear Tora and light in one statement?

Well, I guess for what it is the tora is light compared to what else is in that price range.
