Whats you favorite post ride "recovery?"

Mine last Sunday makes me want to ride again.

Small plate of Chicken Nachos, a bottle of Fat Tire Beer, Oliva Serie "V" Cigar and Bonnie Riatt. Ah what a day, what a life.

I usually come home to some kind of home cooked asian food and a bottle of Pete's Wicked Ale or Arrogant Bastard, do the dishes then loosen up on the trainer grab a shower and figure out when I will be able to ride again. Sometimes its nice being single!

Salted almonds. A nice Monkey's Uncle (milkshake with banana, peanut butter, vanilla ice cream and a little protein powder). A shower usually feels pretty nice, too.

Water bottle of whey protein, then a beer of any type, as long as it's cold.

Very good. I'm learning to appreciate the hoppier end of the spectrum lately. We were in the Deschutes Ale House in Bend this summer and got to sample a few different IPAs and a couple bitters. T'was an eye-opener.

A nice cold beer or two or thr... Lately I'm digging Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA and the venerable Sierra Neveda Pale Ale. I picke up some 120 IPA (12%) but it was too strong for my wimpy taste buds, I finished em off though, they packed a punch!

The 120 isn't exactly beer though, more like wine.

The 90 I loved last year. Ripped through a bunch of 4 packs of it last fall. 2 beers and feeling no pain.

Put on about 10 pounds also during that time. Go figure.

They had kegs of the 60 minute on tap after the Shenandoah mountain 100. That was heavenly after 10 hours in the saddle

Any decent food and lots of it, preferably something salty and filling, and a soft drink at a restaurant with the wife and kids.
