Value on a 29" Gary Fisher Paragon?

For a winter project I have decided to build up a 29er. Ebay has a GF Paragon, 2010. The bidding is heating up. What is a "reasonable price to pay for this frame? And if one of you bids it out from underneath me I find you and let the air out of your tires.

MSRP $2,029.99* retail price for a complete from the GF website.

I guess it then comes down to what components you want to put on it will determine your final price. From a quick google search it seems like most 29er hardtail frames are around the 450-800 range.

I don't think I would pay more than $400-450. A Surly Karate Monkey frameset (w/fork) is $465, a Vassago Bandersnatch is $469, a Niner E.M.D is $499 (great frame) and a Niner Air Light scandium is $799.
