I recently aquired it and can't figure it out - suspension linkage or something?

Actually I think it's my ghetto home made desk that is held together by 6 screws and some gorilla tape.

Looks like a floater disc mount. That would explain the Heim end. See if it's 51mm between the other two bolt holes.
