MonsterCross conversion gear question

I'm converting my MTB to a drop bar/long travel road lever set up.

I've ditched the ooooold Rock Shok 3.37lbs for a Cadex Al fork with removable bosses @ 1.9lbs.
Put in a new FSA pig headset.

The fork was a gimme, thanks Wil. The current stem goes on okaaaay, but there's just not quite enough steerer exposed to be by-the-book, as it were. The tube ends just a hair under the upper stem bolt, it feels fine on the road but , when you know it's not quite right, well... you know. The sightly lowered front end hasn't caused any horrific handling changes, I kinda like it more aggressive on the streets.

I'll need a shorty stem to switch to drop bars, but would like to address the not quite enough steerer issue.
I've found Danger Boy low profile stems that look like they would fit the bill just right.

Does anyone know of any other low profile stems out there?

Thanks

The way it was

There's always the clip-ons route.

Gnarly, where does that get ridden? Something looks inherently dangerous about that setup, like eating a fork crown.

That looks eerily familiar.

His photoshop scratch disk is the only place that comes to mind.

Not that I'm suggesting someone shouldn't try this for real.

Only a Frenchman... that zip-up bag is the perfect for his baguettes.
