Stinky supreme got an upgrade ... WOW

Floating brake will do wonders for the brake jack. And really there have been rumours about it.

Better frame, strong. Better sevicer. Similar components. Better company. Usually better compatibility (dual crown forks for example)...imo...kona is better

On single pivots when you enable the brake it locks the rear suspension basically rendering the suspension useless. The floating brake fixes this by allowing the brake to move with the suspension while still locking the rear wheel.

Gee thanks mael. Dissing Haro like that. I must say that the resr shock on the Haro DOES work under braking.

Not gonna argue the fine points of suspension design. But I would be willing to bet cash that when you brake you suspension is either gonna jack or squat and you will loose some of your suspension. Heck the best single pivots around (santa cruz and Orange) do....if it doesn't, then haro has found the magical secret to suspension design that has been plauguing linkage makers for the last 10 years (more if you include motorbikes). The Horst linkage (not a single pivot btw) comes CLOSE and even then there is still some suspension affected braking. Remember there is a difference between it happening in real life and you not knowing it is happening because you can't tell the difference.

Sorry...haro is not an upper level company...they make a lot of decent bikes, but are not in the range of specialized high end, kona, norco etc...I could not compare the x whatever the heck it is to a bighit, stinky or vps for example.

Because they're in a totally different category. Thats why they can't be compaired.

Not really...I would think by the haro website the x whatever's should be in the freeride class of the bighit comp, stinky etc...if I were a noob and didn't know better anyways.

don't get me wrong. Still a nice bike, just a little misadvertising

But I also don't think as a company or quality wise, you can't compare them to kona. Kona makes some sweet bikes, all the way around.

Curious. Did they add an inch of travel to the supreme. I don't remember it looking like that in previous years. It is closer to a stab now then the stinky.

Whats everyone thnk of the new decals. I am still not sure if I like them...

They did add an inch of travel. The new decals take some getting used to. The dh bike haro uses they don't even make, Intense makes their downhill bikes. Haro is not on the level that Kona, Specialized, Norco and others are on they have been a step behind ever since haro started to build mtb's. With Trek's new Freeride rig, Trek even surpassed Haro, but for now Haro is about on the level that Giant is at which is basically can't build a bike that would make a viable higher end freeride bike. Where the Haro falls behind giant is that Giant makes their own DH bike. Haro should have stuck to building what they are good at, really good BMX bikes.
