Good bye - old freind

Of course most here have had to find a home for an old bike. Well - I have to do it again. I bought this thing in 96. Had it on layaway while my second kid was born. My wife and I raced it a couple of seasons - but tandem MTBing never really took off. One race they had us start 1 min after the beginner women and 5 min after the sport men - we finished 5 min before the first male sport rider. It went through all three of my boys - by age 7 (for each) they had done a 30 mile off road with dad on this bike. The last 18 months it has hung in the garage - probably not to be ridden again by us.
The funny thing is - I look at this thing and think - what the hell was I thinking when I bought this, I didn't have much money, just had one kid and another on the way, and it a friggen tandem. Don't regret it one bit. I'll miss the Ole "lost 2".

I think it needs to go on the Butler Wed. night rides this year. J.D. and Mark on his - - you and your son on yours. It'd be quite a kick.
