Minimum Weight Limit

I know that for the road racing bike it's just under 15 lbs. Are there different weight restictions for the
various types of mtb racing?

If the piece of equipment is so light that it breaks, you've passed the limit.

UCI World Cup has no current weight restrictions for MTB. Most pros ride race hardtails that average 16-17lbs now. Here is my 19-pound gravitational device:

Nice bike! Mind listing the components you've got on it?

I want to get my '06 Stumpjumper to sub 20 lbs. So far, I've changed the stem, saddle, seatpost and pedals - which dropped it about 1/2 pound to 22.4.

But I won't be able to afford any more upgrades any time soon. My cat got sick and the vet bill now is at $2,000 (and counting).
