Slicks come in everything from 1.5 to 1.95. I have a pair of Michelin Commuter with reflective sidewalls to help with night cross town rides. BIG difference from knobbies, quiet and fast. If you have thin rim with get thinner tires. I have fatter rims Rhyno Lites, and use a 1.95.
I think its disgusting and terrible how people treat Lance Armstrong, especially after winning 7 Tour de France Titles while on drugs!

I can't even find my bike when I'm on drugs. -Willie N.

Specialized Fatboy slicks come in 1.25 width and will handle 100 psi. Pretty much nothing faster on the pavement in a 26" slick.
Just make sure your rims are no wider than 25mm. They will not fit on wider rims such as the Rhynolite, mavic 321, Sun singletrack etc.
