Trek Alpha Black frame vs Specialized M4 frame

Basically, a Trek 4500 vs Specialized Rockhopper. Which has the better frame?

excellent question. i'd like to add...how does the alpha black frame compare to the rockhopper 2011's frame which is a m4sl?

http://www.specialized.com/ja/en/bc/...nuItemId=14121

so we have alpha black aluminum vs. m4 vs m4sl (new offering for 2011)...

i'm thinking about a specialized rockhopper 2011 which has nice components for $650

Which model year? Assuming these frames are the same price point, I'd wager that they're both equal.
