I promised my wife that I would outlive her. She buried her first husband. A year ago I realized how horribly out of shape I was. Now I get some of my best sense of adventure spinning around town or trails. Can't live without it.

Quit ruining mt fantasy! She looks like she could keep up if she was wearing at least some decent shoes. But then again, being in good shape doesn't mean you're going to be good at MTBing. Oh well, doomed to forever search for a hot MTBing chick...

I've got a hot chick who's been begging me to take her kayaking all week. Just waiting for my paddle to come in the mail..lost my old one. From the few visits I've made up to the Nanty, I can say that kayakers have the hotter chicks in the southeast. Can't say anything about the northwest though, never been there.

I ride so I can belong to a forum such as this & post things that piss off members asking if they should buy a Next or a kid's Trek as a quality mountain bike for an overweight man.

^^ Now that you mention it, which of those two would be a better option for me? Not that I'm overweight, mind you.

I'd go with the Next. $88 new at Wal Mart, & you'd get ALL the *****es riding through your suburban neighborhood in a tricked out dual shock ride!

But then again, if you get a kid's Trek you could convince people that you have a super tricked out BMX bike with a front shock! Sweeet!

Riding for me is fun. First of all, it keeps me in good shape. I love the speed, I play no video games other than NFS. In reality, I ride, sometime I hit the road with very fast speed when there is no car around. Secondly, it gives me a good sense of accomplishment like samburger said, it feels good when you conquered a steep mountain road and reaches the peak or over it. I love riding/cycling.

no 1: riding is faster than walking
no2: bike can take me to many places that is impossible to reach by four wheel auto or walking
no3: closer to nature, exercise
riding make me feel great
