my first hardtail was 35lbs I think. I just got a new one and it weighed in at 24 with pedals this morning. Honestly it feels the same unless I'm going uphill.

21 lbs. trail-ready, although that's with a non-suspension fork. It's lighter than my road bike, my cyclocross bike, and my hybrid. And it's about 10 lbs. lighter than my daughter's old pink girlie bike with sparkly tassles.

First, you either need a new scale or a new bike.

My HT's Norco 30, and the SuperGo is 27.4. Hydro pack with tools, first aid kit and bench vice probably 60 pounds, me 225. The bikes like me are old and held together with duct tape and a couple of welds.

i wish my scale was wrong but i know it is not. 45 pounds is without my tools, lights or trailer hitch. with my tools, lights and trailer hitch i could see it being 55 pound and up. i wish i could get a new bike but there are no good bike shops where i live. this is exactly what my bike looked like when i weighed it

I see your problem. Get rid of the kick stand.

good idea. the kick stand is too short for my bike any way. in that picture it just looks like it is working but it is actually about an inch or more off the ground
