Okay i am sick of asking myself what new fork i want becasue i cant decide!

So ive made a table with all of the options and pluses and minuses. After this, i realised i am looking at the 03 Marzocchi Jr. T and the 04 Rockshox Boxxer Race, although i am still open for any of the other fokrs in the table. I am a downhiller AND freerider: I do drops, jumps, hucks and dh trails. I have attached the table and a pic of my bike.

So, what should i get???

Have you thought of the new manitous...the stance? Cheap, strong and I can vouch for how well the manitou shermans work. I think I was readin 440 american for the DC...

Signifigantly better damping then the jrT as well

Yeah theyre at the bottom of the table. I like them because, like you said, cheap and strong but what are the internals like? Just Slider internals? Thats the only thing stopping me with these and i cant find out either because there are no reviews for them yet.

But another thing is: What are Boxxer Races like for FR and what are Jr. Ts (03) like for DH?

Jr T's are 'one hit wonders'. Really I'm saying they are good for tacking big hits but quick high speed bumps close to each other they start to have problems.

Then again Karas doesn't have any problems so what do I know.

Yeah exactly, thats why i cant decide. I suppose Jrs would be better for DH than Races would be for DH due to Karas' experience.

Tonnes of reviews on sliders actually. Ridemonkey has several riders riding them. Complaint in 2004 with internals feeling sticky but 2005 fixed that with the new spv evolve damping.

JrT's suck for dh. No damping...

Boxxers are good all rounders. I would take a boxxer over a jrT...you can also adjust oil levels and type of oil in each leg to produce different rebound and compression effects. Really REALLY basic fork. But it works.

Between the 3 I would still say the slider. It is actually up there with the superT...but hey thats only from my own usage of all 3 forks you are looking at.

What is better, a Slider plus or Super T's.
Also the reviews he is talking about are reviews on Manitou Stances.

Manitou stance uses tpc+...still a good damping...ummm...better...probably the superT...slightly high end compression damping.

Depending on what you want to spend I would say spend an extra hundred and get a Super T. It works much better then the Jr T and a lot better the the Boxxer. If you shop around you can get a 2004 Jr T for about 450 US$ or a 2004 Super T for 530 US$.

As for Manitou, their new forks show promise but I have yet to try any so no opinions there.

I take back what I said about the stance. It is actually a muchlower end NEW damping system. Not worth the trouble to play on a new fork that will likely feel like a jrT...

If those are the costs save the extra 80$ american and get the superT...signifigant improvement in performance.
