Inner tube size

Well I have a 26x1.95 inner tube with a presta valve. Due to a bit to much agression while pumping the tyre caused the presta valve to crack off (). I knew instantly that a new inner tube was needed so I had a look around and found a inner tube with a car valve sized 26vx2.0. I want to fit this one but there are two problems

1. the hole is too small- solution: I have been told to carefully drill through to increase the size so that should be sorted...

2. Obviously the new inner tube is 26 by 2.0 and the actual tyre has 26X1.95 written on it. Should I still use it or could it damage my bike?

Thanks-any replies welcome

1. That is the solution. Be sure to take the tire off to do this, as a hole in the tire will affect its high-speed balance.

2. A higher-volume tube will allow you to fill the tire with more air than it should hold, which will cause a localized starvation of oxygen in the immediate atmosphere. This could cause changes in the microclimate weather patterns, leading to thunderstorms; and it could make a hole in the ozone layer, causing your bike to melt.

3. I wonder if putting "Please read" in the title of your thread will actually increase the number of views that your thread will get.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I appreciate your comment and the unimaginable amount of thought it must have taken to come with the reply. Will probably have to check my bike reguarly now to insure it doesn't melt. Also- i see your point with regards to number 3
