HELP. What kind of bike is this?

Hello,
I am looking at buying this mountain bike, and the only info he could give me is it is a mongoose. I have never seen a mongoose look like this one. Any help would be appreciated. ANyone know what make this bike is and what year it could be from.

Thanks!

If thou has eyes with which to see and thou knowst the brand, the thou shalt proceed to mongoose's website and search through each years models.

It looks like their otero...

You won't find that one their website as it's a wal-goose. Notice the red pulley on the rear derailleur? Low end. The fork, low end. The weird lacing on the wheels, low end. The shock with the "reservoir", not really a reservoir but a fake.

That's the kind of bike that makes a great boat anchor. But not a great bike.
