Fisher/Trek Paragon 29er Hardtail

Hey All

I am going to get a 29er hardtail to compliment my stumpy...periodical change in ride kinda thing. Was wondering if any of you have any experience or provide any insight on a Fisher/Trek Paragon 29 hardtail. Bike looks great...could only ride around parking lot so cant get to good a feel on it. Have heard fisher/trek bikes have had frame issues. Are these resolved or still hold true. Also how so this 29er compare to others like the stumpy, niner, cannondale etc. Again, any comments or input would be greatly appreciated. Friend got a 29er to compliment his full suspension and loves it...says it is a great change of pace...he got a scott. Well thanks for taking the time to read here and looking forward to your comments.

I ride a GF Paragon. Got it in May of 2010. First HT I ever had. I was riding an old Diamond back FS, 26. As far as my experience is concerned, the GF does everything well. a friend had a 2009 GF Paragon and his frame at the seat post cracked. It was replaced by GF. I don't have any other 29ner HT to compare to the GF. The main reason I purchased it was the reputation of the bikes geometry and steering qualities.

The bike works for me. However, because of back issues , I am looking at a FS, Santa Cruz Tallboy or a Niner Rip9.
