Ohhhh how serious is that, i get pretty bad pain (and creaking) in my right knee only during and after riding -- and it started before i switched to clipless recently so i know thats not to blame.

Sorry to hear, time to take the bike apart I guess? Look out bearings!
I had to take 3-4 weeks off while ago 'cause of neck and brain injury.
Felt like a kid when I got back on ( no endurance, having hella fun!)

G-well soon.

Right now it just seems like life is dealing me hard blows. Just found out lost an infant cousin to SIDS. The knee can take a backseat until December, it just seems meaning less right now to me. I know it sounds awful but I am inspired now and need to detach myself from society right now.

That sucks! I broke my hand a couple of yrs ago while riding, missed a lot of the good fall riding. Bigmouth is right ,a little time off the bike and you'll have to wipe the grin off your face after the first ride back. get well

I think I am gonna be a specator for a while too. I crashed yesterday and landed on my ass. Kept on riding 5 more miles, then my bike broke down- the chain broke. Broke my chain tool, too. then ran up hill 5 miles. My butt was slightly sore no big deal. I only had a tiny little red spot and a scratch on my right cheek.

Then about 6 hours later, it starts swelling insanely, like a third butt cheek, and turns purple and hard as a rock. I decide to get it checked out at the ER cause it was getting outta hand. Turns out I have a broken tailbone.

Doctor was impressed I could still walk, let alone bike and walk that 10 miles.. yike.

Really sucks

Sorry about your cousin, man.. That is such a horrible thing to happen.

regards
Jallen

This is how I am feeling right now. I feel likeI have been punched in the stomach really hard right now. Being the kids Guardian, I am really saddened by this. Right at this moment the only thing I have to look forward to is the bike and this place.

Sorry to bring this back up, but I have a problemt hat recently got discovered. Maelstrom you were half right on this. Yes, my left leg is a couple inches longer than the other. Under my knee there is a 5mm-1cm rise in my bone. It's right under a tendon and it KILLS!

According to them, I've done too much sports for my knee to handle.

we will see, we will see..... I went in for MRI today, I have HORRIBLE Hemotaoma (sp) brusing that has spread to my lower back... Still dont think anything is broken, but getting checked out for blood clots and or infection... But I am hoping in a couple weeks, I can go riding... PLEASE.. before it gets cold! hehehe

MRI's suck suck suck, they made me lay on my back on top of my horribe grapefruit sized lump on my butt, after taping a pair of vitamin e pills to my butt to serve as markers.... OW THAT HURT, for 25 whole freaking minutes!!!

This was my first MRI.. I am totally BLOWN away with the details you can see in those things... I could see my whole pelvic area, including my privates in much detail... including the fact that my bladder was way full.. hehehe

All on a Silicon Graphics IRIX platform running Xwindows.. I was so disappointed that the mri tech had no idea what I was asking when I was querying about her MRI gear. God I am a geek hehe.

I can tell you are a geek too, Hooligan.. !!11oneone!! indeed. hehe

Good news...
