^And I'm the only non-family he's ever let drive it

Gonna miss you this riding season man (no ****). Hope the great NW is everything we ever dreamed of.

And John, hope you don't mind, but I thought Doug might like a better view of the Cutty: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcYU5B6-auQ

Now you guys tell me I can put up non-bike vids...I'll have to put up the vid of my car blasting through some twisties.

Are you just using the suction mount for the camera?

Yeah, just the suction cup on this one. I've got a few videos on my bike on Youtube as well, just using the suction cup mount. I've got a sticky QR mount on the bottom side of my Givi rack but I haven't had anyone behind my to shoot since I put it on there. Here's what I've got so far: http://www.youtube.com/user/samburger077

So let's see this video of you blasting through some twisties! What kind of car you got?

The vids are of a lightly modded Cadillac CTS-V. I have a sticky mount on the lower part of the valence. So it's close to the ground which is neat but you don't see any of the car so you lose perspective. It needs to be on the mirror shooting part of the hood or on the sunroof.

Yeah I tried a video in a gap in the body kit of my buddy's heavily modded SRT-4. It was definitely a cool angle, like you're skimming across the ground, but I like to always have some perspective of what it is that I'm seeing moving. I ended up putting it around the back corner panel on the driver's side with the suction cup mount, & it came out looking amazing. What made it especially nice is that he has a side exhaust on his car so the camera was right above it & captured the sound perfectly when still. I'm too lazy to upload it, but here's a sample (straight from the first chase scene of Smokey & the Bandit ):

Well I only have it as raw footage so I'd have to do some editing. And I left my laptop at work so you guys will have to wait a bit.

When the snow is gone and the car comes out, I can use both cameras to get some sweet footage with better mount locations. I need one near the back because the LS6 through Magnaflow sounds pretty sweet. But the snow being gone and the car out driving again is a long way off.

I'm curious now to see how well the CTS handles in the twisties...I've never doubted the power, but they always looked a bit big to maneuver. And you have two POV cameras?! If they're both GoPro's, you should get the 3D housing & shoot some 3D vids in the twisties/trails, depending on the sport. But I'd especially love to see 3D on the roof of a CTS

Dammit, forgot I can't upload files to "non-work" websites when here at work. So I guess I might as well just call it a lie for now.

Hmmm, for some reason I can bypass our work system if I use the basic uploader. And I even made it my avatar because you guys really seemed disappointed that I didn't post a picture.

Very nice! My bike is my only vehicle right now, but my mom keeps bugging me to get a car for the cold months (this once-in-a-decade ice storm we had shook her up, I guess). Regardless, I wouldn't mind having a car to play with. I'm hoping my friend can find me a stripped-&-rebuilt Honda/Acura with a B16 motor & tranny on the cheap this fall, after I turn 21 & my insurance drops by $500/year. Wouldn't keep up with a CTS by any means, but with weight on its side & a decent 180hp motor, I think it'll be a fun lil car.

Either that, or I'll scrap the idea of upgrading from my GS500 to an SV650 & put that money towards a WRX. Man oh man, I'd kill for an STi!
