My dream bike is DONE!! Big pics!! WHOOOOOHOO

hellooooo,

Finally got my 05' Yeti AS-R all spec'ed out and built and just finished the custom fit. Here is a spec list

Frame- 2005 Yeti AS-R SL
Rear shock- 5th Element
Fork- Fox F100 RLT
Drivetrain- Full 04 XTR
Brakes- XTR disc
Handlebars- Easton Monkey Lite SL
Seatpost- Easton EC70 Carbon
Seat- Selle Italia SLR XP
Grips- Yeti Hardcore lockons
Wheels- Crossmax SL
Tire- Hutchison Scorpion Tubeless
Computer- Polar S720i
Headset- Chris King
Stem- EC70
Pedals- Some run of the mill shimanos until i get some Times or eggbeaters or 959s

Weight- 26 lbs. (with new pedals should be 25.5)

I bought the frame and fork from my LBS (sports garage) and everything else off Ebay. Had absolutly no problems. From riding it home after the build I think the thing is the ****, but its 70 and perfectly sunny in Boulder right now, so time to hit the trails!!! Sorry to everybody stuck in the office!

Pics below, look for a review later today...

My yeti!

I actually downloaded 3mb worth of pics on 56k
But then I thought of the other users of slow connections, and resized/compressed/made into one image the pics, and uploaded them.

Nice bike, also pretty scenery.
Not quite as nice looking down here, it's always nice to drive through colorado in the fall to see all the colors.

EDIT: I don't know if you wanted to remove the huge images from your post, mael; it doesn't really matter, but 3mb takes a while.

Well,
Just got back from the first ride... Unbelievable! Obviously. Climbs like a harrier jet, or a racoon shot in the ass, or something. Decends amazingly. Brakes are insane. New XTR group is a huge improvement. Shifting is better than my Dura-ace 10 and never mixed up direction or had an accidental shift.

I love your bike! Tell me where you live so I can come and take it

Are you going to be doing any XC races anytime soon? Your bike seems to be geared for that, and also, please tell me how you like the fork. I am thinking of upgrading to that fork when my SID wears out.

THanks

Ming

Haha, I'm in Boulder, CO. I'll see ya here!
I have a cyclocross race next weekend as well as throughout November I'm using it for. Next year I should be doing some actual XC races. Also thinking about bringing it to Sedona, AZ this winter.

Here..this isn't fair...In Canada, last sunday was a little bit too cold for me :'( So I think I'll have to put my bike away pretty soon and have to wait for next seaon to go for good & long bike rides

Ming
