Replacing crank arms on Windsor 4500
So my dad rides my mtb everyonce in a while and I actually encourage it. After recently riding some trails though, I left my clipless pedals on and he put on the platform ones wrong and stripped the threads. I noticed when I was trying to take off the pedals the reverse thread for the left side wasn't moving when I would do it the right way and when I looked at the pedal, he had put the left on the right and the right pedal on the left.... I unscrewed the pedals all the while smelling burnt friction metal and when I tried to see if the clipless would go on nothing.
THE POINT IS...
I need to replace my cranks, no? Is there a way to rethread the crank arms? Is this cost efficient? So what can I get to replace them? All bikesdirect says is that they are TruVativ Aluminum Triple 22/32/42. I don't know the size and I can't measure them right now but the bike is 15" frame (I'm 5'3") so please guide me in what crank arms to get. I would want to get something of the same quality or slightly better but I'm not seriously into riding (why I only spent $350) and I was checking ebay.
ALL ADVICE WELCOME AND THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I have rethreaded crank arms and never had a issue. I have tap kit that have various size taps in it, but you could buy a single tap for around 10.00 its not hard to do. My guess a LBS or machines shop could do it for you, Some of the guys here who work at bike shop could tell you but I would not think they would charge more than $10-15. That would be the most cost efficient unless you found some freebe crank arms.

If you want the same cranks, here's a link to bikesdirect parts website. There's a good chance they have the same cranks listed.

I'm pretty set on just replacing the cranks. I've read a lot of complaints so I was just considering getting something a little better. I'd narrowed my search to two cranksets but I'm not sure if there is some other carnksets I can buy that are compatible with the bottom bracket I have now. I tried to find out what kind of bottom bracket my bike uses but I couldn't find anything. I was considering getting this:
https://www.jensonusa.com/store/prod...sis+Bb+Oe.aspx
or:
https://bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BKTK_S...ls&ProdID=1417
Only because I know I wouldn't have a problem matching the bottom bracket. But if someone knows what kind of bottom bracket I've got (the spindle count and compatibility), please clarify this for me.
Thanks.

Just pull your crank and BB and see what the BB says on it, that is the only way to be sure, then you can order the correct one. I am almost positive its a 68 / 113 but just check it first.
