Suntour chainring

In the process of converting to single crank, but I can't figure out how to remove the small chainring on my Suntour XCT V2! Its not allen bolts, and I can't find specs anywhere on the net. They almost look like (God forbid) rivets...

Mother... Can I pop the rivets and tap the crank?

Oooooor... Pop the rivets and run a chain stop clamped to my seat tube instead of the inner ring. I dont NEED anything down there, do I?
