Yes, you made out quite well. Strategy here though would be to tell you that you got suckered and offer to take both of them off your hands for $ 175, ok, I'll go $ 200.

I think you got a great deal providing they aren't stolen. More than likely they aren't and the guy just didn't ride them enough and needed cash for something. Browse Ebay for the models and you should get a good idea what folks are willing to pay on the street.

You have a 2008 Specialized Rockhopper Disc 29er and a 1999 Trek 6000. You did well on the Specialized. As for the Trek, that's probably exactly what it's worth.

I have sold two Trek Multi Track 750's. One for $150 (97 Model), and a 91 Model for $175.
I like that Specialized.
I have a Scott Scale 70 from 06' that I would sell to buy that Specialized. Very cool bike.

thanks guys yea this guy i sell things for was telling me he had a few bikes him and his wife had bought a wail ago and wanted to sell them, so i was like ok ill look into selling them but never jumped on it never looked at them never asked him what thay were never seen him as a rider so dident think thay were good. then it got brought up in a conversation with a friend that one of these bikes had disc breaks on it and it was a specialized. iv never owned a name brand mountain bike but allways have been in to BMX and i know thay make good bmx so i started to think more about it so i went to go check it out and i asked his how much he wanted when i seen it was brand new and he said he only road it ONCE he says 500 at first told him i only hd 300 anb he wined around alittle bit then let it go and i told him i would work out a deal for the other one so he liked the deal at first he wanted 300 for the trek and i told him i seen them online for 150-200.. so i mainly bought the bikes for me and my wife and son to ride so it dosent really matter if i make money on them if i do later one down the road if i wanna sell them but right now were are gonna ride i need to get back into it
ps.. and no thay are not stolen the guy is older and owns a few businesses, he just dosent need them/ want them.

Holy steal and deal Batman! Nice going on the Specialized.
Gotta say this as it irks me...
Holy run on sentence Batman! I know you're all excited about your "steal & deal" but c'mon! How 'bout some punctuation and capitalization. Also: rode vs road and brake vs break.
disclaimer: I'm not an English teacher, but I play one on TV.
