Have You Peed in the Woods Today?

If you have, perhaps you should be more sensitive to others' feelings.

Some would argue that because the preservatives & other chemicals in our foods are unnatural, we're introducing something unnatural to the environment. I'm still with Joe Rogan's basic philosophy on this one: Everything came from somewhere, so no matter how much you don't like something or how ugly it is, everything is natural. Piss where you want, **** where you want, & the stronger of species will survive it (though the smarter of the species--humans--may kick your ass if you piss or **** in their way).

A few months back my wife got me to eating prunes in an effort to be a bit more "regular". One morning, while XC skiing
W/her I had the sudden urge to take a HUGE dump while we were on a trail adjacent to a rural road.

One thing nice about taking a dump in the snow, it's easy to "cover your tracks". Fortunately I had a bandana that I always carry while skiing for wiping my nose. I sacrificed 1/2 of it in the interest of "personal hygiene".

I go out in the woods periodically and pee on my property corners. This serves two prurposes: 1) It lets all the woodland creatures know that it's 'my' territory; and 2) It could someday help that mountain lion know just where his meal came from.

I don't consider it to be a long enough ride if I don't have to wiz at least once in the woods. I figured out long ago, not matter what you do, someone, someplace is not going to like it. The truth is given the option when I need to relieve myself 1 or 2 I will take the woods ( woods... not the trail ) any day over the nasty a** porta johns they have where I ride.

I'm definitely a woods pisser myself. I can totally understand someone thinking it odd or maybe even inappropriate for someone to just whip it out and start pissing 15' from them though. He should have started tossing things at the dude while he was pissing. Or maybe walked over and put his hand on the guys back and started coming on to him. If I have to piss I always go a little ways off the trail.

I always walk a few dozen feet off the trail to do my business, looking in all directions so there's nobody around to file me a sex offender charge. But after seeing a pygmy rattler that was too young to rattle yesterday, I might just start wetting the trail instead.

Some of the less than modest people in my apt complex do it, so if the urge hits me on the trail...not a second of hesitation.,,,,BD

I've avoided this thread until now. Just the title was enough to know it was about some "nancy" somewhere pissing and moaning about something. (not you, BUM...)

I pee'd out my back door a couple times when I only had one bathroom in my house that was occupied. In my late teens...we used to pee in the alley when we were skating.

Generally, the people who get upset about this kind of thing are the ones who stress lycra, rules, helmets, hand sanitizer, nets around trampolines, walk...don't run, etc...

Far too many pansies in the world now, giving too many rights to our youth, making us wear seatbelts, taking the trans-fats out of our favorite foods because the rest of the world won't work out or ride a bike...they just sit, eat, live in dual income homes, and drive freakin' Lexus and H2's.

I'm beginning to lose it here...

Ed out.

Have a house in Missouri remote enough that I can pee off the front porch. A man should have that sort of space.

+1, in Alabama. Back in the woods, that I just came out of from trailbuilding

On a(nother) side note, I would love to be Bear Grylls and get paid to pee on TV.

I agree with a lot of this, but on the other hand you have people who are super fat, screwing over the rest of us on healthcare costs (because even without socialized healthcare you and I are picking up the tab in one form or another), etc. I think that stopping people from driving drunk is a GREAT idea, for example, so I am obviously OK with legislating some level of "common sense". It's a blurry line for me where I start to say "ok... that's too much".

Boy is that the truth! I would say that 90 percent of my patients are obese with no possible way to exercise it off due to the CHF / COPD from smoking, apnea from being overweight, etc...

Then there's the selfish few who O.D. or attempt some form of suicide but are too much of a loser to finish the job so we get to pay for their health care that is priced beyond excessive due to all of the freakin' law suits and red tape.

I'm going to officially change the title of this thread to EdRant.
