Scandium versus Carbon Fiber in frames

I'm a newbie here but I just bought a scandium frame and was researching what the differences were between that and carbon fiber from a functional standpoint. This is the most interesting explanation I found. Below is a photo of the sweet scandium frame I am building up.

Scandium is just aluminum made awesomer. They put scandium into the aluminum to make it stronger and by doing so can make it lighter.
Carbon is made out of snakes and snails and puppy dog tails.
