Tips for Blazing a Trail?

Good morning everyone! I'm hoping to learn how to blaze a single track trail on my 260 acres of hunting property in central Michigan.

Would I just get a couple buddies and go out and slash down the underbrush and then ride it a bunch?

Thanks for any tips!

Only if it is your own property then yeah, you should b able to go crazy. Sounds awesome!
Before you slash:
Go to CORBA website and watch a bunch of videos they have on there about building trails the right way. Accounting for drainage, erosion, obstacles, natural features etc.
Then get some buddies or a local club and let them help in exchange for riding. Better look at legality of having strangers riding on your property and the risks involved once word gets out there is a trail "just over that fence".

That website, after I looked at the name again and realized it wasn't 'Cobra', was a goldmine of perfect information! I think that's how I'll spend my day off. When it's finished I'll have to record a ride on it!

IMBA has 2 great books and some info on their website.

Buy some goats. They will make trails that will be more challenging than anything you and your buddies can come up with.
