Advice needed on buying a bike

Hi Guys,

Im currently getting myself back into riding bikes and was wondering if you could give me some advice on which make of bike to go for.

Im lucky enough to have around £1000 pound to spend on a bike. the main riding i do is on a coast to coast route near to where i live which is off road however not to extreme. im looking for a nice light weight bike as the one im currently using isnt the best. i have seen a few different makes but thought it would be best to post online to get peoples views.

im liking the chris boardem range at the minute

but any advice would be welcome from you all

thanks in advance.

Cheers Chris
