United Bikes

Hi
Its my first post here and I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about United Bikes. In particular the Hunter. I am thinking of getting one of these and would like some feed back.
Thanks, Daniel

I've never seen one of those bike's or heard of the make, and while it has some intresting components and frame design I personally think these are only gimmicks to hide a not very good bike. Also Hunter does'nt look like a proper Mountain bike manafacturer go for company that at least has a known reputaion for making good bike's.
I'm from the UK and don't know what $899 will buy you but it should be a lot more than what the Hunter offers. From a quick look at Bike Barn's website you could get a Specialized Rockhopper Comp for $699 which is a far better overall bike http://www.specialized.com/SBCBikes.jsp?my=2005 Also you could get a Kona Caldera with Hydrualic Disc brakes for 999 http://www.konaworld.com/kw_index.cfm
Also I checked www.mtbr.com and the quality of bikes at $899 price point are far better than the Hunter.
Is there no other bike you've seen that you like?? I'd avoid the Hunter like the plague personally!

Marc

i'm not sure where you live or where this company is based, but nevertheless, for that price listed on the link you provided, you should be able to get a better bike with far better components than that one.

i'd suggest you check out some of the bikes made by the following companies and see if you find anything you like:

norco performance bikes, specialized, iron horse bicycles, kona bicycle company, cycles devinci, rocky mountain bikes, giant bicycle, trek, gary fisher, jamis bicycles, cannondale.

pretty much all of these are reputable bike companies that make decent bikes with good parts specs. they also make bikes in a wide range of price points. good luck with your search.

Bwaaaaaahahahha!

This is my favorite part: "Alloy Crown and Blade Suspension"

If the best thing you can say about the fork is that it has an alloy crown, its worthless.

Try looking at Konas or the specialized range, what are you going to be using the bike for, I dont understand how they can retail that bike that that extorsionate price, because basically, its a peice of crap, look around, you can get ALOT more bike for your money

I'm guessing these bikes aren't listed in US dollars, but there's no reference to location on the website.

Confusing... they have a mixture of English and US spellings... 'colour' and 'aluminum'
