Does a 29er mountain bike spokes make noise?

This is my first time owning a 29er mountain Bike. depending on the bumps in the road or the off-road trail Iím on, not sure if it's my fork or the spokes that are making noise, I'm pretty sure it's the spokes. Is this common?

nope..not common at all. Are your spokes properly tensioned? What kind of noise is it?

Easy test. Pluck the spokes like guitar strings and listen for similar tones. If tones and all spokes are tense, then it's NOT likely your wheels. Also, give the wheel a spin and see how true the wheels are.
Also, could it be the headset or chain slap?
