Identifying an Old Haro...

I have a "Haro Design" (not "Haro Bikes") MTB marked RAGE.

I can't find much info about this model... like it's actual age?

The tires and mudguard in this pic are not original equipment, of course.

Can anyone provide some pointers? The headset's rather creaky and I'm trying to figure out what's my next step in slowly improving this guy....

thanks

Haro Designs

The company was founded in 1978 by Bob Haro. Haro started out producing numberplates for BMX bikes in his bedroom. Demand for these stylish plates quickly outgrew his one man capacity. Haro Designs, the first name of the company, was formed in 1980 with headquarters in Torrance, California.

I'd start with the SN, see if there is any obvious code to it ?

1994..1995. It does not look like a Haro from that era. Looks like a custom build with mid range parts from someone infatuated with that brand.

Interesting theory -- I did find a reference to one other example of this bike though, in a web for-sale posting (long since expired) -- so there is more than one.

Forgot to mention: purchased in Taiwan
