Replacement for Manitou sx-r
My 2001 Manitou sx-r is broken beyond repair. What would be a good replacement? All the current forks I find for v-brake's weigh POUNDS more than the sx-r. I am bummed....

You're correct, most of the suspension forks with V-brake posts are heavy low end models. I've been on the search for a new 80mm V-brake suspension fork. No luck. These days most companies are building disc forks. The V-brake forks have been relegated to lower end and OE. It's a shame for folks who want to continue to run v-brakes and want a mid to high end level fork.
Have you considered a rigid fork? It'll lighten up your front end if you're concerned about weight.
