Adventure in Alaska

We arranged a Park Servie shuttle of our bikes into Wonder Lake in Denali Park for a ride out. It's a 90 mile trip well worth the time. We spotted wildlife all along the way into Wonder Lake. They allow 2 bikes inside the shuttle bus. We made reservations 9 months in advance.

We rode 50+ miles the first day to one of two campgrounds. There are 3 passes to negotiate the first day. They all get your attention when hauling a load. We just beat the rain while setting up the tent. It poured all night and we rode the second day in rain and mud. A shower at the Park entry awaits!

Start of ride on a glorius day in the Park

Caribou

Denali was out in full force

The mountain was out

Loaded up with about 50 lbs.

Amazing

Brown Bear grazing. It turned towards us and we hightailed it out of there!

More of the same

Edge of dropoff

Park road is a beautiful but challenging ride.
