Which bike shall I choose?

I've been practically hunting for a off roading entry level bike for the past week. I went to my shop and the owner recommended me a Rocky Mountain Edge 2009 over the Norco Pinnacle. The Rocky Mountain Edge isn't in my 400$ price budget so I am hoping to find one on craigslist now because someone has told me that both bikes are almost too cheap.

I am really hoping I get the KONA FIRE MOUNTAIN HARDTAIL https://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/tor/bik/2536157899.html

but if i can't get that, would these bikes be good for off roading entry level?

Would this bike be too small? as I fit a 17" and I'm 5'6

both (the konas) are more than suitable for entry level mountain biking, and are a good start especially if you think you're going to want to upgrade the components down the line. Honestly, i'd see how low you can get either of them and just choose which-ever one is the least expensive.

Entry level mountain bikes range from 300-700. So those konas are actually the next step outside of entry level. More mid-range than entry in my opinion... which will be good for future upgrades.

Nice, I was thinking about the Kona bikes. What about the Avalanche? Do you think that would be a good ride?

Do you actually post something worthwhile, or just one-liners? Telling him make sure its a 29er and not providing any reason why is just stupid
