Riding Trials. I currently have a Specialized Stumpjumper with a Quadra 21 R fork and aluminum frame. Basically I'm very hard on my bike, I ride a lot of trials and am constantly jumping off of perches, jumping steps, jumping up them that kind of thing. I need a new wheelset and am also contemplating V-Brakes since they would offer much more power in doing trials as well as increased power on the trail. I have no idea what type of wheelset to buy and am currently running Mavic 221 559X17 rims with velociraptor tires. I'd like something strong and durable that can take the hits without getting out of line. Any advice would be much appreciated concering the wheel set as well as the V-brakes. Thanks so much!!
