My Fox Fork is set to 125mm, but the negative spring is overpowering the positive, causing it to only be set at 105mm. The fork is 2 years old, and I only do five-6 footers usually to a landing, on a hardtail. I weigh 95 lbs, and am running the purple spring. Any ideas?

Sorry I can't help you, but 95 lbs? Are you female, or a growing male? I need to meet someone who can teach me to do drops, I'm not comfortable with more than 1.5 feet yet.

squeaks - Master the biggest drops you feel safe on, then move up a bit.
Pop the front wheel up, kinda bunny hop out if you can, land on rear wheel, then go down onto front. |
Unless there is a tranny.

And it seems that what this guy drops to.

Yeah, no clue how the last owner treated it. Unless he's someone you know personally and saw how he rode it before you bought it. Outside of that, I'd say it'd be really hard for a 95 lb person to get full travel out of a 125mm fork anyway. I weigh 130 and can't bottom out my 100mm Marzocchi.

i weigh around 110 and im 14 and i bottom out my 100mm zokey. im looking at the Z1
EDIT: cryogenic, i just read that you have the same fork i have. the MZ COMP. it bottoms out just on little 4 stairs and i want to do this 7 stair at my school but im worried about the fork. i weigh more than 20 pounds less than you and i bottom out? i put the preload all the way up but it hardy makes a difference and still bottoms out. :( |

But if the webmaster is made aware that the person is in fact under 13, then there may be possible repercussions.
Sorry kid! Please come back when you make it to 13. |
