P series I hear are pretty good, If you can get a Cove or a Norco they seem to be a best bet. Ellsworth is nice just very expensive. Dunno much bout the other ones, but your forgetting kona. I dunno if you have looked into them but the Shred and Stuff are pretty sweet.

that's a pretty wide price range with the choices you've posted... what's your spending price range? that might help us help you narrow down your choices.

also, are you looking for a complete bike or do you just want to get a frame and then build up with a custom build? i ask cause the 416 is frame only, as are a couple of others on your list.
current ride: 2003 norco vps fluid 3.0 (custom build).

Kona fire mountain is their cross country. Try the dirt jumpers. My scraps so sweet. You can throw it around like pie, handles like a dream, hellla nice! Scrap, Cowan, Shred and Stuff are all really AWESOME urban assualt/ free ride/ multi-extreme purpose bikes. Love them to DEATH.

Planet X in my opinion, excellent frames for Urban, although the Flash is a more of an all round frame, built to do everything, thats a good thing in my opinion... PLus, the paint schemes are crazy

how old are you.. if you're a male and only 100 lbs, my guess is you're young and you have to take into account that you will grow bigger, heavier, and stronger, and this will happen in the not too distant future. buying a bike for yourself now when in a year or two you may be 50 lbs heavier and 6 inches taller needs to be addressed.

Another thread that perfectly illustrates the purpose of the 'Freeride Hardtails' thread, as well as the reason why it is stickied.

Check out the Giant STP2 as well.
