Aluminum types?
I have been searching for a hardtail now for awhile. Every time I look at the frame it gives a numbers such as 7005 or 6061. I'm assuming this is the type of aluminum used? kind of like the steel numbers. Also it talks about being triple gauge or straight gauge. What does these mean? Is there a website with the number break-downs and what not?

7005 does not require heat treatment which is not always good
6061 requires it.
7005 is more brittle than 6061/6069, hence the latter should be more suitable to frames that will see more abuse.
Triple, double and single gauge reffers to the number of different wall thicknesses that exist in a tube.
