Another "which bike" help thread

So I'll be getting a new mountain bike soon. I started being a cyclist as a mountain biker with a Trek 6000 from the late 90's, but then I sold it and bought a road bike and have been a roadie since. But now I'll be buying another mountain bike 10 years later. I'll be riding XC and please don't bring up a full suspension argument. I've narrowed it down to these three bikes and if you would share thoughts and feedback pelase:

Option #1. Jamis Dragon 29 Sport w/ a Cane Creek Thudbuster or some similar option to make up for price difference.

Option #2. Jamis Dakota dXC Race

Option #3. Jamis Nemesis 650

Jamis is well regarded and you probably won't go wrong with any of those.

Though you may want to skip the 650. As nice of a bike that it is, 650 wheels and tires (basically the size in between 26 and 29) haven't really taken off yet. In five years? They'll probably be all the rage, but right now, it would most likely be hard buying wheels and tires for that.

2013, 650b will start to take off. X-fusion and White Brothers already offers a 650B fork. There will be a 650b offering from Fox in 2013 and rumors are one of the big makes will be offering 650b wheeled mtbs. Jamis and Haro have embraced the 650b wheel, kenda is offering a 650b tire.

But as of now, there really is not much out there.

So between the three, I would probably go with the dragon sport, sans suspension seatpost.

Thank you very much!
