The Boulder is an entry level bike. The fork that's on it (is it the Suntour?) is probably entry level.
This is a decent deal on a decent fork without spending a fortune on it: http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/137...-2-Headset.htm
The other thing to consider is you might spend more on the fork, leave the steerer tube long when you install it on your Boulder and then swap it to the next bike you buy.
If it were me, I'd budget $150 to $200 get a decent fork on closeout somewhere. Heck Manitou Black's can be had for about $150.00. and ride the crap out of your bike. Only replace the other stuff when it breaks.
Save your money for your next bike.
