Stickied? This would make a great sub-forum.
Well, not ebay specifically.. just bragging about new stuff.

I got a new stem.. I don't like the "mobius" stem that came on my specialized since it's 90mm, 5deg rise. I needed a 100-110mm 0-deg rise and finally found a cheap one in black. I'm happy.

wha? every auction I see on ebay for bike stuff is more than what a new one costs at a store... maybe im just unlucky.
https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEBI:IT
I'm the high bidder on that though..

Ebay has some great deals on some stuff and really horrendous deals on some other stuff.. Just have to be a smart buyer. I was rather happy about finding that stem for $19 because it was in the color, size, and rise I wanted. I've found them online for $29 but that was in a 120mm 10deg rise, which I don't want. So to me, that was a great deal even though I didn't really save THAT much off what I could have gotten an equivalent product for. It was just the fact that it was exactly what I wanted.

My best ever; '02 Bianchi Veloce road bike for my wife, shipped for approx $580 USD. Got it last Spring/Summer. It had never been ridden and was only put together for the pic in the auction.

practically my whole bike was bought off ebay...
- 2003 norco fluid 3.0 (brand new, complete).
- truvativ holzfeller 40mm oversized stem w/specialized big hit dh oversized bars (used but untouched).
- truvativ holzfeller double ring cranks w/rock guard & dh bb (new).
- truvativ xr single clamp seat post (new).
- pair of sun singletrack rims (silver) laced to xt disc hubs (silver) (new).
- hayes hfx-nine hd (8") brakes, front & rear (new).
other bike stuff bought off the net, but not through ebay:
- pair of silver singletrack rims (new). bought in case i wreck my other ones... silver singletracks are hard to find ::
- fi`zi:k nisene saddle & xt shifters (new, oem products - i ended up finding out they were the parts that were supposed to be for the balfa completes the year they decided to go frames only).
- xt rear derailluer (new).
- xt front derailluer (new).
- 2003 marzocchi z1 fr with 2004 stanchions & other parts (used but warrantied just prior to being bought by me. came with extra springs).
- truvativ holzfeller dh pedals (new).
all this stuff was bought cheap. everything cost me no more than $2500 CAD, give or take some.

Yeah.... I haven't been able to find any really good wheels for a really good deal on ebay... I'll probably just end up having a set built. I already know what hubs & rims I want... I just don't have the money at the moment.
