right now, been here a week and a half, so many goddam bikes around it aint funny... but surely I have found the world's largest market for cruisers, dahon folders and old steel cast-offs. some weird y-frame HARDTAIL designs and rear suspension folders. This is an SS lover's paradise. pity they dont have many mtbs around.
anyway, just ranting. maybe this belongs in a more general forum? meh. |
I knew that china was bike-dominant as far as transportation goes. I'm not really surprised that there aren't many mtb's there. Most people use their bikes for everyday transportation, not recreation like most Americans do. Hence, they pick cheap bikes that they don't mind getting banged up.

In Amsterdam there are millions of bikes locked up everywhere. There would be about the same amount of bikes as there are people their.
