Bottom Bracket Ques?

My bottom bracket wore out on me.So I E-mail k-2 to ask what size BB I have.
(113/68 mm) I then order a new BB from Price Point.Thinking my cranks are race face,
I order RF BB.When I get the BB I go down to LBS to get the BB tool to take off old one.
Get the old one off, It's a truvative BB.

Compare the two together, find the spacer on the truvative is on the cap(none Drive
side). The spacer on the Race Face is on Right side(drive side).Put it on knowing this
with the race face spacer on.The front D is shifting a little off. I know it is because of the
spacer difference.

THE QUESTIONS **********

What would happen if I take the spacer off and run it without the spacer?
Did k-2 give me the wrong info,or did I order the wrong part?
And if I take the spacer out will my cranks be off center to everything else(but shift Good)?
Please help....
