Burly XC frame

I am looking for a bike that will handle aggressive XC riding, but will need to be burly enoug to support 250lbs. Will basically be a freeride hardtail, but needs to have the geometry of an XC bike. I have been looking at the Fetish Cycles Discipline and the Access aluminum frame from Supergo. Also has anyone heard anything about the Leader frames that Pricepoint carries?? Oh and the bike frame HAS to be black. The whole bike will be blacked out except for a few flashes of silver here and there. Trying to spend the least amount of money possible. On a really tight budget. If this doesn't make sense I'll fix it tomorrow, as it's 1 am here and I'm really tired.

Summary:

Looking for Burly XC Frame
has to be black
for 250 lb. rider
needs to be inexpensive.
will be freeride bike with XC geometry.

what sort of budget are you on? (apart from tight)

also consider full bikes like the Kona Hoss range, another member here has one and seems very pleased with it.

Only one that comes to mind for me would be the Surly instigator, totally black apart from the white Surly and instigator writing...

Unfortunately, i never got onto the full squish bandwagon. This bike is going to be full RIGID. I am purchasing a Surly 1x1 fork to go with it. and I was looking to spend less than $500 for the frame.

If you can manage to find a Cove Stiffee frame for $500, that'd probably be a really good choice. JensonUSA had them for $430 on closeout, but now they're $600 :/

EDIT:
The Azonic Steelhead is probably a good choice, it is meant for freeriding.. might be a bit heavy, not sure.

btw

Check out banshee. Not sure what the frame price is on the Morphine or the Scirocco but I wanna say they are RIGHT around 500, give or take a few bucks.

Of course the Surly is always the other route, I can vouche...its a BAD bike.

I think you'll find the morphine is a bit more that $500, i think it retails at £599 here, so over there thats like $900 right?

You're probably going to want the Instigator fork instead of the 1x1 on that, since the 1x1 is corrected for 80mm. Most likely whatever frame you get will need to be corrected for 100mm.

I have a Kona Hoss Dee-lux...I don't know if that's your style frame but as far as taking abuse...it does that very well...it hasn't given me a bit of trouble yet.

Just went to banshee's website and man is that morphine burly. A little to burly for what hes looking for it looks like. The scirocco looks like it would fit his needs.
