Something broken with XO derailleur
I completely ate it jumping up a flight of stairs the other day and think I may have done something to my rear der. I've been doing my own bike maintenance for 5 years, but I've not seen something like this before. My bottom two gears are inaccessible because the der. hits the mounting bolt to the frame. I'm not sure what to do with it, it looks pretty much normal, no overt damage and the der's aluminum pieces look completely fine nothing fallen off, etc.
Any help would be much appreciated....

Judging by this picture I found online, I just managed to bend the sh** out of it. Still not sure how to bend it back, it doesn't want to budge, the alum bars are super solid, I'm not sure how I managed to bend it in the first place.... There is some small scratching on the edge, but nothing that would indicate that I smashed it that hard.

Are you certain the derailleur is bent, and not just the hanger? Your LBS might be able to straighten the hanger, and you definitely can buy a new hanger and install it. But if the derailleur itself is really tweaked, you might have to replace it.
Usually that doesn't happen because the hangers are meant to bend instead.

Yeah, if I take the der. off the hanger completely it still won't collapse to the smallest size, it rests on the mounting bolt. I've been riding it as is, since I really don't use the bottom two gears that much anyways.....

Derailleur must be tweaked - the hanger would have nothing to do with this issue.

Good thing the 9-speed X0 rear derailleur is fully serviceable. A cigar-sized twig snapped my alloy cage, and SRAM was able to send me another ESP long cage. Fifteen minutes later....good as new!
