Loose Front Wheel?

I recently bought a Diamondback Response from Dick's. I noticed that the front wheel seems to be slightly loose. The front brake was making noise, so I tightened the wheel lock (it's removable) and the noise went away, but came back within seconds. Is this a problem? If so, how can I fix it?
Thanks

Your first mistake was buying a bike from dicks. its ok.

your front hub might be a bit loose, you can tighten it with cone wrenches. that or you dont know how to use a quick release skewer.

As escarpment said,
Are you tightening the quick release properly?
Check http://www.jimlangley.net/wrench/qui...explained.html

If you are, it sounds like the hub cones aren't adjusted properly. You might want to check http://sheldonbrown.com/cone-adjustment.html

Or just take the bike back and ask them to check it out.
