Thanks!
Man! Why did you just wasted this money on old bike? We understand you're newbie, but hey you should ask someone more knowledgeable about bikes before you buy this one. For this money you can get brand new decent hardtail bike w/good components. On the other hand, what's done - it's done. And I only wish the best with your purchase. Ride safe man!

I thonk that is a pretty sweet build. XT is a favorite of mine. But $350 would be the highest I would go-IF I were into skinny tires I mean!

you won't be able to get anywhere near your money back out of it, I'm afraid.

Not to spoil the party - but that's not my bike. Someone else put all that work into that baby, and although I might agree he might not recoup everything he put into it, using the value of the original, stock configuration to try to determine a fair resale price for something thats nothing like the original, stock configuration wouldn't exactly be fair. That was kinda the point.

My own ongoing build is here: https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...-The-Un-hybrid
and very much like that other bike, currently about the only thing that's stock is the frameset.
