um. I had a talon for a little while, it was okay, if your looking for a descent 29er, get a scott scale. they rock

I can vouch for this. I was dead-set on a Scale 450 or 460 but then rode a Cannondale Flash 29er Alloy 2 at my LBS. I really liked it and I wanted to give a local business my business, so I wound up with that bike. The deal I got on it didn't hurt, either.

The Scale is amazing bike and I have nothing but good things to say about. They are extremely comfortable, very responsive, and could climb trees.
