Help ID this bike? I've looked everywhere! Sherpa Explorer?

I dont know if this is just a rare bike from an unknown manufacturer or what - I couldn't find anything and am not familiar with the actual brand (not an expert just casual rider). I was hoping someone on this forum would know a little about it - It says Sherpa Explorer, looks older but coulnd't find much on it.

Thank you

Mid-late 90's bike, possibly STX-RC crank from the photo, nothing special, most likely a house brand for a retailer

According to this thread, it was an old Costco in-house brand.
