Hi all,
I'm a little confused about the Diadora Gekos - there appear to be several shoes being sold under the same (or very similar) name, but the appearance and price varies. On nashbar, for example, can anyone explain the difference between the "Diadora Gecko Mountain shoe" https://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?c...eid=&pagename= (being sold for $39.95) and the "Diadora Geko MTB Shoe" https://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?c...eid=&pagename= (being sold for $64.99)? Neither or these shoes are identical to the Gekos that I tried on at my lbs, which looked identcal to the ones being sold here https://www.pricepoint.com/detail/138...ecko-Shoes.htm. Would it be safe for me to assume that all these shooes are pretty comparable and should fit and feel pretty similar?
Thanks

cheap ones= probably last years model.
As far as being the same...they SHOULD but probably aren't. That's how it works, unless you're getting a STEAL don't buy it unless you know you love it.

I have a pair from '02 or '03. I beat the crap out of 'em and they're still spinning strong.
Conversely, I got some Diadora Leggera road shoes and they fell apart within 1000 miles.
Diadora makes awesome stuff, mostly.
They mostly come at night. Mostly.

Thanks for the replies - I figured it was probably something along those lines. The Gekos I tried on at my lbs felt great - nice fit and really comfy, but they cost about $80. I'm pretty tempted to pick up the older model from nashbar at half the price - hopefully the fit will be about the same.

I looked at it like this...it's 40 bucks...I took the plunge and am content with mine.
