What do you think of this?

I have been looking for a stumpjumper or a kona dawg at a resonable price. It's hard to find them considering I need an XL being 6'4. This looks like a great deal I just want other opinions. The auction ends tomorrow/today depending on when you look at this. https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...133466295&rd=1

They are both very nice bikes i believe the stumpjumper on ebay is a female version ie the toptube. Go to a local bike shop and try to ride both of them it might come down to personal preference.

From looking at both the Specialized product mag as well as the specialized website I believe that bike on ebay is the male version.

I do plan on giving the stumpjumper a ride at the lbs tomorrow because I dont know if I can pass up this opportunity. And the closest lbs that has the dawg is about two hours away.

Right now, Kona sent out some 04 Dawg closeouts to the shops. They are going for $1100 at most shops, from $1649. Might want to call around a bit and see what you can find.

Only problem I have with Kona is their lack of storefronts. Go figure. That specialized looks nice though

What's that supposed to mean? If it doesnt have disk brakes it sucks? I dont feel I have the need for disk brakes, so why spend extra money?

don't get me wrong...I REALLY like my hayes hydros, but if someone didn't have discs I wouldn't look down on them....my mountain mutated road bike will not have discs...well it might, but I doubt it.

well sure if I had the funds I would go for some disks but with school, every dollar I spend needs to be clearly justified. I can buy a lot of beer...or books with the extra money I save from not having disks.

holy crap, folks... you missed the joke... read again Rim B-A-K-E-S... the person who did the auction left the R out of "BRAKES". Hence, he was saying "bakes must be better than brakes" being a smarta$$.

It's an FSR-100 RIM BAKE! I wonder if that's something like a clam bake but with rims instead?

you and the other guy both missed it. He put it in quotes so that it would be noticeable. I guess it just flew over your head

You guys! Geez, I'm glad Cryo finally noticed the joke!

I thought it was funny that the auction advertised the bike's "Rim Bakes" in giant bold text. No, I have nothing against rim brakes....I was hoping someone could share a laugh at this!
