2005 stp2?

My friend wants to buy the 2005 stp2 and then he wants to put disc brakes on it. The 2005 line isnt shown on the website yet, but i know they are out because ive seen pictures of it on other sites. One site we found says the hubs are disc compatible, but another says they are not. Does anyone know if the hubs are disc? He doesnt want to have to spend extra later for new hubs, but he wants disc brakes.

The guy at the Giant dealer I was talking to a while back said the STP2 is disc-ready, if I wanted to buy discs later on.
